Collect 20 new words, in any topic, to earn your Easter Word Hunt 2025 Badge!
How It Works:
- Join the challenge: Open the Easter Word Hunt challenge and click the “Join” button, if you see a progress bar, you’re in!
- Choose any topic you like (new or one you’re already learning).
Learn (collect) new words in that topic by dragging each new term down to the head—it works exactly like our regular learning sessions. - Track your progress: You can check it in the “Challenges” tab. The progress bar will fill up each time you learn (collect) a word.
- Complete the challenge when you’ve collected 20 new words and unlock your special badge!
Note: Unlike other challenges, there isn’t a preset topic for this event, feel free to mix it up!
FAQ
Q1. How do I collect terms?
- Open any topic with remaining terms to learn and press “Continue” or “Start Learning” to begin your session.
- When a new word appears, drag it down to the head to learn (collect) it, just like before.
- That’s it! As you continue playing and learning new words in the topic, your progress in the challenge will increase.
Reminder: You can check how many words you’ve collected at any time by going to the “Challenges” tab and clicking the “Easter Word Hunt” challenge
Q2. I clicked “Start Session” in the challenge and it sent me to a fully learned topic—what now?
- Simply exit and pick another topic from the Home or Explore tab.
- You don’t need to press “Start Session” from the challenge screen; progress counts whenever you collect words in any session and from any topic.
Note: We agree this isn’t ideal, and we’ll be updating the app soon to make “Start Session” smarter.
Q3. I’ve already learned every word in all the topics, how can I keep going?
That’s amazing! If you’ve accomplished this, you have a few options:
- Reset a completed topic to re-learn (recollect) its words. Recollecting words from a topic you reset will still increase your challenge progress. To reset your topic progress, first open the topic itself by tapping on it from the “Home” or “Explore” tab (You will see the “Play” button). Then tap the reset icon on the top right. Please note you will lose all progress for this topic though!
- Or switch to a different language you’re learning and collect 20 fresh words there!
Q4. Are there any restrictions on topics or languages?
Nope! Feel free to collect words:
- In any topic
- Across any language you’re studying
