The daily streak is counted after a completed session on a given day. A session is completed if you played for the preferred session length that you have set in your settings.
Your progress is the number of words you have learned so far in a specific language. To check it, please log into your Drops account, go to your Profile, select Settings (top right corner), and scroll down until you reach Statistics.
